Wild Rice

Prep Time: 15 min 
Cook Time: 35 min 

1 cups real white rice (not minute rice)
¼ c. wild rice (optional)
½ large yellow onion (diced)
1 can beef consommé
1 ½ cans water (use can from consommé)
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
 
Sauté the diced onion in the butter.  Set aside for a minute.

Put the salt in a 9x13 Pyrex dish.  Pour the rice on top of the salt.

Pour the beef consommé over the rice and add 1½ cans of water to the dish.

Pour the onions and butter over the rice.

Stir everything together and cover the dish with aluminum foil.


Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
