Tomato Gravy


● 3 Tbsp bacon grease
● 1 small yellow onion, diced
● 1 Tbsp Jar-lic (garlic)
● 3 Tbsp flour
● 1 can (14 oz) petite diced tomatoes 
● ½ c. Chicken broth 
● ⅓ c. Whole milk
● 1 tsp sugar
● salt & pepper, to taste 

Heat the bacon grease in a large skillet. Add onion. Saute a minute or two. Add garlic and cook another minute. When onions soften and become translucent, add flour and cook roux until medium brown. Add tomatoes, chicken broth, milk, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low until desired consistency. 

Serve warm over these Best Ever Buttermilk Biscuits or rice.
